Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
Adeline started teaching yoga in 2002. She ran her own studio YOGASPIRIT until 2005. She fell in love with yoga immediately. In her first yoga class, she experienced firsthand the benefits of combining movement, strength building and stretch. She noticed how she felt, moved and functioned better. This inspired her to use yoga as a tool to empower people to take better care of themselves.
Adeline has practiced, studied and trained with some of the kindest, most talented, and inspiring yoga teachers from around the world. They include Rachel Hull, David Keil, John Scott, David Swenson, Aadil Palkhivala, Sarah Powers, Tias Little, Paul Grilley, Cindi Lee, Christina Sell, Noah Maze and Susi Hately (Functional Synergy) as well as the delightful Judith Lasater (Rest and Renew® Restorative Yoga). She continues to study with some of them annually.
Adeline’s teaching style is a unique and quirky blend of alignment-based yoga, carefully held together with the fluidity of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice and mindfulness. With 14 years of teaching experience, she is often described by students as a teacher who keeps the yoga practice safe, with simple, clear and precise instructions. She teaches with humour, stories, and examples. She inspires laughter and encourages her students to have fun on the mat.
Adeline specialises in one-to-one Yoga Rehabilitation (Therapy) sessions, using yoga poses as a form of rehabilitation to improve function and ease. Her clients include breast cancer patients.
