Yin & Yang in the Asana Practice
Two contradictory yet complementary energy pulses dance constantly in search of Balance.
Pearl & Teresa aim in this practical workshop to help you find your personal expression of that dance on the mat by bringing awareness to body and breath from both active (Yang) and passive (Yin) approaches to the physical yoga practice.
The Moon Bath, 10am to 12.30pm
The back of the body represents the Collective, what we don’t see and often unconsciously don’t pay enough attention to. Let us draw awareness to specific areas of the back using Breathing Techniques to lengthen our spine, Forward Bends to strengthen it and Arm Balances to transform that new connection into lightness.
The Sun Bath, 2pm to 4.30pm
We will expand and release the chest, abdomen and thighs by actively engaging without contraction, and allowing the exhale to passively extend our bodies into open Backbends. Then explore deep and energetic Twists in search of our individual expression and our best potential.
All levels are welcome!
